10 June 2008 - Joe Armstrong Fansite v2.0

At long last I have finished the promised site revamp! Well, almost finished - I'm still working on a multimedia gallery and some other tidbits, but a good website is one that is always growing! For now, some of the new content includes galleries for Service and The Bill episode 105, meaning we now have galleries for ALL of Joe's known screen appearances!

As you can see, we also have a new banner - I'm happy to announce that Nikole is the winner of the banner competition, and she also designed link/affiliate buttons and a supporters button for us too. You can see more of her lovely work at http://harsh-light.org. We've also got new menus which will hopefully make the site easier to navigate, or if you'd prefer, there's also now a sitemap and a search feature.

You can also now see what's available on amazon.com and amazon.co.uk through our store pages, and make a donation to help with the cost of running the site on the sponsor page.

As ever, if you have any problems, questions, concerns, or suggestions, please drop me an email! Thanks for your continued support! ~HG

21 March 2008 - Major Site Changes

The Joe Armstrong Fansite turns 1 next month! To celebrate, we'll be having something of a makeover. Additionally, we may be moving hosts, and possibly even web addresses, so please keep looking here for updates (or you can subscribe to our RSS feed, more info is on the links page). Unfortunately, the web address change may happen suddenly, so if the site disappears, I'll be posting the new address in multiple places, including the Joe lj comm and fan forums. With all the work going on, the site will probably experience more downtime and be in various states of disarray through mid-April, especially since my ISP has decided to at least temporarily cut off my internet connection at home. Arg! Anyways, please bear with me through the transition. I promise it will be worth it!

Additionally, I'm working on a sponsor program for the Fansite. Although I kinda hate to do this, it's not free to run this site, and I'm only semi-employed at the moment. So, if you would like to make a small donation to help me keep the fansite running and be able to add even more content, there are more details on the "About the Site" page. For those interested in writing to Joe, details can also be found on the same page ;)

21 February 2008 - "Ticket Too Far" Online

Sorry for my extended absence, but I've been having internet issues and, well, other issues. Today, however, I come bearing a nice gift - news that the short film "Ticket Too Far" is now viewable using the Babelgum player, which is both free and legal :) I've posted instructions and screenshots here. Enjoy!

30 December 2007 - RH Finale and "Gifts"

Once again, thanks to the wonderful JL, we have lots of lovely screencaps for the Robin Hood series 2 finale, separated into 2 episodes for convenience. The brilliant JL has also found a link from the BBC to Joe reading "Gifts" as described on the theatre/radio page. Click here and scroll down to "13:30-13:45 - 'Twas the Night Before Christmas - Gifts". This will probably only be up for a short while, so click quickly! Thanks for a wonderful 2007, and I'll see you in 2008!

15 December 2007 - Final 3 Episodes of RH s2

Screencaps for Robin Hood series 2 episode 11 are now up! In case you don't know, there is no new episode next week, and episodes 12 and 13 will be shown back-to-back on December 19th! Along with the expected episode 12 trailer following episode 11's airing, there is also a preview on bbc.co.uk of both episodes 12 & 13. I don't usually post trailer caps, but since there's a two-week wait until the season finale, I thought I would share these, especially since many people don't have access to bbc.co.uk media. Please enjoy! And thanks again to Joes_lashes for her amazing screencapping!

09 December 2007 - RH s2 Screencaps

The Robin Hood series 2 photo gallery is up-to-date. Just fyi, I generally get the episode galleries up on the Saturday night that the episode airs, or by Sunday night at the latest (note: that's in my time zone, anyways! - EST, 5 hours behind the UK). Also, the front page has changed slightly - I replaced the scan of Eli's autographed postcard with my own (complete with two signatures!) Eli's is still in the RH s1 promo gallery though. Lastly, if you didn't know or had forgotten, you can share with the world your love of Joe, RH, or several of the other RH actors by ordering t-shirts through robinhood2006.com. All profit goes to Children in Need (and besides that, who doesn't want a shirt that says "Hug a Hoodie" or "Joe's Jezabels"??) Many thanks to Eli for arranging this, and for including us!

03 November 2007 - Theatre Reviews & Screencaps of RH s2

I've added screencaps from Robin Hood series 2 episodes 3 through 5, and updated the Theatre & Radio page with further details and comments from theatre reviews and other various print sources. Also, the hit counter on the Joe Armstrong Fan Site recently passed 10,000 and while I don't take too much stock in that hit counter, I would like to say thank you for all of your support. I hope you all continue to enjoy the site!

20 October 2007 - Screencaps of RH s2 & The Whistleblowers

I've added screencaps from Robin Hood series 2 episodes 1 and 2, more series 2 promo photos, and screencaps from Joe's appearance in this week's episode of The Whistleblowers.

29 September 2007 - Robin Hood series 2

In my combined excitement and disappointment, this is going to be a longer and more personal news item than usual. I picked a terrible time to be away from the internet! I've been traveling for a couple of weeks and have another week and a half to go. If you didn't know, Robin Hood series 2 begins airing in the UK next Saturday, October 6. There's a trailer online at worldscreenings.com and Joes_Lashes has done some lovely screencaps which I've temporarily stuck here. Lucy Griffiths Online has some exclusive and absolutely amazing promo photos and episode stills here. There's an episode still of Joe there that's already infamous. Enjoy watching the first episode and I will get screencaps up as soon as I get back to the internet on October 10. I'm going to the Nottingham Robin Hood Up Close exhibition today, so I will also have photos of that when I get back. Also, don't forget to watch out for Joe's episode of The Whistleblowers, which started this week. He'll likely be in episode 3 or 4. It'll be great for Joe to have so much screentime this autumn!

01 September 2007 - Screencaps of Robin Hood extras

There are two new albums of screencaps from the Robin Hood series 1 region 1 boxset extras, "The Making of..." and "Dressing the Hood". I have also added a few series 1 and series 2 promo photos, a link for pre-ordering this autumn's ITV series Whistleblower, and weeded out some defunct links in the affiliates section.

29 June 2007 - New galleries and minor updates

I have added a gallery for Rose and Maloney, new screencaps in the Passer By gallery, and a new page for Robin Hood series 2, including screencaps from a Hungarian news report. Our affiliates list has greatly expanded and our visitor counter keeps climbing. Thanks to everyone!

05 June 2007 - Screencaps of The Bill 374

A new photo gallery has been added, containing screencaps from Joe's role as Lenny Bartle in The Bill episode 374 (2005).

29 April 2007 - The Last Detective on ITV1

The Last Detective, series 4, episode 1, 'Once Upon a Time on the Westway' will air on ITV1 on Thursday, May 3 at 9pm. This is a UK premiere, although the episode has already aired outside the UK.

23 April 2007 - Website launched!

The Joe Armstrong Fansite is officially open! Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the site so far! Please have a look around and let me know what you think! ~Hazzardgal

If you're familiar with RSS feeds and would like to know when the site has been updated, I've added a news feed.
